Movewise Relocations is a family-owned Australian moving company working across eight cities. What follows is how we work, and what we hold ourselves to.
From the family
Why we started Movewise.
We started Movewise after moving house enough times ourselves to know how it usually goes. A figure given over the phone that changes on the day. A crew who have never heard your name. A final invoice that looks nothing like the quote you agreed to.
We wanted to run the kind of moving company we would book for our own parents. That means a price in writing before you commit, one person who knows your move from the first call to the last carton, and crews who handle a stranger's things the way they would handle their own.
We intend to keep growing. What we will not do is trade that care for speed to get there.

Careful handling
Furniture gets wrapped before it gets lifted, and floors get covered before anything crosses them. It is slower at the start of a job and faster by the end, because nothing has to be fixed, apologised for, or carried twice.
Clear communication
You get a quote in writing, a name to call, and a straight answer when something changes. If a truck is running late we would rather tell you at nine than have you wondering at eleven.
Personal accountability
Every job has one person responsible for it from the first call to the last box. When something needs sorting there is no queue to join and no explaining your move from the beginning to a stranger.
Organised planning
The questions we ask before the day - access, stairs, lift bookings, parking, what is coming and what is not - are the ones that decide whether a move runs to time. Most bad moving days were decided a week earlier.

How we protect standards as we grow
Growth is where moving companies usually get worse. More trucks, more crews, and the care that made the business worth recommending gets spread thin. These are the parts of our process built to stop that happening.

Crew training
Crews are trained on handling and protection technique before they are trusted with a job, not shown on the day by whoever happens to be senior. New team members work alongside experienced ones rather than being sent out to learn on your furniture.

Job briefing
Every crew is briefed on the specifics before they arrive: the access at both ends, the lift booking, the piano, the driveway that a truck cannot reverse into. The information you give us at quoting reaches the people doing the work, which is not automatic and has to be designed for.

Damage reporting
If something is damaged we want it recorded on the day, by the crew, in writing - not discovered later and argued about. A process that makes it easy to report a problem is the only way anyone finds out about the problems worth fixing.
How we work
From the first call to the follow-up.

Enquiry
Tell us about the move online or on the phone. We ask about both addresses, stairs, lifts, parking and anything heavy or fragile, because those answers decide the crew and the time, and whether the quote holds.
- 02
Plan
You get a written quote and a coordinator who stays with your move. They confirm the date, sort lift bookings and parking where they are needed, and brief the crew before anyone arrives.
- 03
Move day
The crew protect floors and doorways first, wrap furniture before lifting it, and load in the order that makes the other end easier. If anything is damaged, it is recorded on the day.
- 04
Follow-up
Your coordinator checks in once you are settled. Anything that needs sorting goes back to them rather than into a form, and you hear back within 1 business day.
